New Thoughts On The Blog

Hi everyone, it's been long. It's been really long since I last wrote on this blog. I just haven't got the time to go out and snap nice photos of my outfits and write about them anymore. I have been spending most of my leisure time with my family, friends and people I care about - the things that really matter to me now. But thanks for your support still, my blog views have jumped significantly since the last time I was here, even without me updating it!

A lot has happened since my last post, and 2015 has been the most challenging, emotional and crazy year for me. As we enter into the last month of the first quarter of 2016- maybe it's the power of the leap day - I had an epiphany today about this blog.

Time is not going to slow down. I have less time to spend on this blog, and I'm also starting to feel I lack the qualities of a 'blogger' that writes about outfits or sponsored products all the time. But I still love writing from time to time, especially when an exciting thought comes to mind. I've mainly been writing these in short posts on my personal Facebook.

In my yearly reflections I have come to some conclusions on what I want in life and the areas I need to recalibrate this year. I decided that if I were to spend time doing anything, it must have a lasting value in me and the people involved in it. Hence a thought came to me- maybe you would be interested to read more about my experiences and thoughts as an entrepreneur, fashion designer, marketing and comms manager, enthusiast and life lover instead?

With more experience and thought driven content, perhaps I can make this space more diverse and thought provoking. I won't abandon the fashion and food side on it altogether (where they are more updated on my Instagram), but introduce more deep content and conversations I would like to have with you, my readers.

If you have any thoughts on this, I'm happy to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment or email me. Till then!

As many of you would know, I've been ghosting on this space because I've been so busy immersed in working on the first big baby project of my life... My very own designer label! After 16 months of hard, hard work (I'll save the details on this for the next time), I'm finally able to proudly present to you: KALAIA Label.

The process of defining this label has been difficult, just as how difficult I find it to define myself sometimes. I eventually let the label become a manifestation of myself, my inner desires and perspective of life. KALAIA represents the ultimate embodiment of a refined and sensual woman who lives for freedom. She is art, nature and beyond all, herself.

Here are some of my favourite shots from our Campaign for the Debut Resort Collection: To Anywhere.

View the rest of the Campaign here, and read more about KALAIA here.

To say a huge thank you for your support thus far, use the code TOANYWHERE for 15% off your purchase. I'm also running a limited time free express international shipping promotion, so catch it before it's gone! xx

#MakeItHappen x Clozette

I'm back after a loooong break! It has been hectic since the last time I posted something here and a lot has happened. Mostly exciting things, but a few bumps here and there. But I won't go there.

So this is a major leak as to what I've been up to the last few months since my (rather hasty) graduation in November! Been working on my baby and dream of my life, and I can't wait to share more about it with you soon. There are still some details to be finalised, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

A few weeks back I did an interview with the Clozette team for International Women's Day in their #MakeItHappen feature.

We talked about my unwavering passion in fashion and design, as well as a hint to my upcoming independent bohemian brand KALAIA Label.

I'm so, so happy to be finally designing for my own brand and making my vision for bohemian fashion come to life. There is so much to say about my motivations, inspirations and plans for Kalaia, but I'll keep that for next time when I have more to show you.
